Stories from working at Starbucks that make me want to add a little vodka to my venti.

All the following stories are true. Seriously, I wish I could make these up. However, I can only vouch for mine, and not the submissions. I do not intend offend anyone involved; these are for entertainment purposes only.

Rudeness Is Ugly

I went to a Starbucks in a Target and ordered, in proper Starbucks lingo, two drinks.  My sister didn’t want whipped cream on her Gingerbread Latte, so I said “no whip”, and the woman looked at me and said:

“We don’t have whipped cream.”

And I looked right back and said:

“Good, because I don’t want any.”

Then I ordered my unsweetened, nonfat, no foam, green tea latte.  I told her I was a partner and wanted to use my discount.  She said they weren’t able to do that there.  Oh well.

After I pay, I watch her turn around and scoop the matcha powder straight into my cup.  That’s disgusting.  I hoped the woman on bar had enough sense to use a different cup when she poured it back in.  You’re supposed to steam the matcha in with the milk so it mixes.  I didn’t want to drink powder.

I get my drink, and all that’s written on the cup is the drink name and that it’s nonfat.  So I ask if it’s sweetened.  And the woman on bar says yes.  I told her I wanted it unsweetened with no foam.  I made her make it over.

By now, the register lady has come over and started yelling at the bar lady, saying she left the cup without syrup in it, why would she sweeten it? blah blah blah.

Well, maybe she sweetened it because you didn’t write my order on the cup like I asked!  And as this lady is yelling, she’s making that gesture of a crazy person (twirling one’s finger by the temple) to me, indicating that her coworker is crazy and stupid.  I was appalled.

I get my new drink and the whole thing was foam.  I just didn’t want to deal with these two incompetent ladies anymore.  It left a sour taste in my mouth and I was not happy.  I should have asked for my money back.
