All the following stories are true. Seriously, I wish I could make these up. However, I can only vouch for mine, and not the submissions. I do not intend offend anyone involved; these are for entertainment purposes only.

  • New Starbucks policy states that we brew bold and decaf coffee BY-THE-CUP on weekends. It’s a tiny plastic funnel that you put on top of the cup, place a filter with the correct amount of grinds and pour the correct measurement of hot water over the grinds and let it brew into the cup. That way, we don’t waste a whole urn of coffee every 18-30 minutes since bold and decaf aren’t as in demand on weekends. Makes sense, but from the outside (customers) perspective, this method LOOKS longer and more complicated and we got a lot of complaints.

One woman even asked for her $1.85 back because she “could have done that at home. I want it from the machine!”
